May-Britt Stumbaum is Associate Fellow at the DGAP China program as well as a Thyssen Fellow at the Weatherhead Center, Harvard University and the German correspondent of Jane's Sentinel Country Risk Analysis.
From April 2006 until July 2008, she worked as program officer in the European Foreign and Security Policy Programme, doing Visiting Fellowships at renowned think tanks in Brussels, Paris, Stockholm and Beijing. Until April 2006, she was in charge of the Forum European Foreign and Security Policy. Before joining DGAP in April 2002, she was head of the Asian Department at Berlin Partner, a public-private-partnership aiming to promote the city of Berlin. From 2000 – 2001, May-Britt Stumbaum served as personal assistant to Dr. Shalini Randeria at the Institute of Advanced Science, Berlin, and the Centre of Social Research, Berlin.
May-Britt Stumbaum holds an MSc in European Studies from the London
School of Economics in 2000 and a PhD from the Free University Berlin
("Decision-Making in EU foreign policy towards the PR China).
Schlarships included Robert Bosch Foundation, the German
Studienstiftung
(Stiftungskolleg für internationale Aufgaben), the European Foreign and
Security Policy Studies Programme (Volkswagen Foundation, Compagnia di
San Paolo, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond) and the Fritz Thyssen Foundation.
