Stefan Meister joined the Russia/Eurasia program in January 2008. He worked at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena in the faculty of International Relations (2004-2007) and at the Center for International Relations in Warsaw (2003-2004) before.
He studies Political Science and History at Universities in Jena, Leipzig and Nizhniy Novgorod. His Master thesis (2003) was on “Conflict between Center and Periphery in post-soviet Russia”. He currently works on his Ph.D. thesis on “Transformation of the Russian Higher Education System”.
