The German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) offers interested academics the opportunity to become a guest research fellow for the duration of three to six months. The guest research fellowship is unpaid. Guest research fellows are members of our research institute and work on individual research projects. The DGAP provides an office with all necessary infrastructure as well as the research facilities of the DGAP Library and Documentation Center.
During the guest research fellowship, the fellow must complete one publication for the DGAP – either a DGAPstandpunkt or a DGAPanalyse. No costs will occur for the fellow. Fellows are welcome to participate in DGAP events and to hold a short lecture during one of the monthly Kamingespräch. Excellent command of either German or English is required.
