US Climate policy after the Presidential elections

The new US government will develop new positions with regard to the climate negotiations. That was the grop's topic in its last session for this year. What players will become important in the US climate debate, in Industry and states? What impact can Germany or Europe have, what offers make?

Dr. Karsten Sach, Head of the subdivision on International cooperation in the Federel Ministry for the Environment, discribed the Federal government's attitude toward the coming Obama goverment. Jennifer Morgan, Dircetor for Climate and Energy Security, Third Generation Environmentalism (E3G). definded yardsticks for transatlantic climate cooperation. Helga Flores-Trejo, Director of the Washingtoner Office of the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation analysed the atmosphere in the US capital Reinhard Krapp, Head of the unit for envoironment of the foreign office, presdented the Transatlantic Climate Bridge, a Framework Project on networking in climate policy.
