From June 3rd until June 6th, the second meeting of the Franco-German future dialogue took place near Stuttgart. The meeting started off in Stuttgart at the Robert Bosch Stiftung with a speech by the
chairman of the board of management Dieter Berg. The highly prestigious participants in the panel discussions and the Franco-German working groups debated recent issues in German, French and European politics.
The discussions mainly focused on the coming French EU Council Presidency and its main tasks like integration and security policy, as well as on the perspectives and challenges of a Mediterranean Policy. The meeting also hosted the first alumni meeting of the future dialogue, which allowed for a knowledge exchange between the first two generations of the project.
