They underlined the importance of the engagement of the international community in the common struggle against drug trafficking, terrorism, and corruption as well as the international assistance in building infrastructure and providing education. For example, due to joint action poppy production in some provinces has been significantly reduced. The participants thanked especially Germany for its leading assistance in training Afghan police forces. According to the delegation members, this commitment should be further increased and decentralized.
