Staatsfonds – Investition vs. Protektionismus
Auf politischer Ebene sind Beteiligungen der sogenannten Staatsfonds höchst
umstritten. Die USA verschärften vor kurzem die Hürden für ausländische
Investoren aus Furcht, Staaten wie China, Russland oder andere könnten
maßgeblichen Einfluss auf sicherheitsrelevante Industrien und Technologien
bekommen. Auch die Bundesregierung überlegt, wie das finanzielle
Engagement wenig transparenter Staatsfonds in deutsche Schlüsselindustrien
besser überwacht werden kann. Viele Unternehmen hingegen begrüßen die
Investitionen ausländischer Staatsfonds als neue alternative Finanzierungsquelle.
Kurt Viermetz, Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender Hypo Real Estate Holding AG
und Deutsche Börse AG, stellte in seinem Vortrag den aktuellen Stand des politisch-
wirtschaftlichen Diskurses dar, beleuchtete, was es mit den ausländischen
Staatsfonds eigentlich auf sich hat und erklärte, wieso die Kontroverse gerade
jetzt von besonderer Brisanz ist.
